トークン化証券やRWA分野での協業も視野
暗号資産（仮想通貨）取引所などを展開するバックパック（Backpack）が、韓国の上場証券会社SK証券（SK Securities）との戦略的提携を10月29日に発表した。両社は、バックパックのアプリを通じた韓国株取引サービスの提供を目指す。
同サービスの対象は、利用条件を満たす韓国非居住の外国人投資家だ。両社は当初、韓国上場株式を中心に取り組み、海外投資家による韓国株市場へのアクセス拡大を図る。
また両社は、トークン化証券や実物資産（RWA）分野での協業も見据えている。SK証券の資本市場に関する専門性と、バックパックのブロックチェーン基盤などを組み合わせ、従来の金融市場とトークン化された金融市場の双方で連携を進める方針だ。
具体的には、SK証券が証券の引き受け、発行、販売に関する機能を提供する。一方、バックパックはブロックチェーン基盤、デジタル資産のカストディ機能、世界各地のユーザー基盤を提供する。両社は適用される法令に従い、商品の組成・発行から保管、海外投資家への販売まで協業するという。
バックパックは既に、証券の所有とブロックチェーンを通じた流通を組み合わせた米国証券プラットフォームを展開している。今回の提携は、バックパックが米国証券分野で進めてきた取り組みを踏まえたものだ。
なお、今回の発表では、韓国株取引サービスの具体的な提供開始日や対応銘柄、利用可能な国・地域などの詳細は示されていない。
